Summer Camps

Every summer, PYPO offers string, band, and full orchestra camps to all musicians in Pittsburgh, whether you're in a PYPO ensemble during the school year or not.

If you're looking for a place to make new friends, continue developing your musical skills, or just have some fun, PYPO Summer Camps are for you.

Eligibility: Any student, whether in PYPO ensembles or not, is encouraged to register for summer camp! We have ensembles for grades 4 through adult.

 

Dates: June 24-28th, 2024

Location: Carlynton Jr/Sr High School

​

Schedule:​ Our summer camp schedule typically involves four mornings or afternoons of rehearsal, musical games, and activities. The week will end with a celebratory final concert with all ages and ensembles. 

2024 DETAILS:

Registration Deadline: June 1st, 2024

Developing Strings (Grades 3-6) and Developing Band

(Grades 4-6)

Dates: June 24 - 28

Each day from 9am -11:30am

 

CONCERT on June 28th at 12:30 PM

Tuition: $150 + $25 processing fee

Intermediate Strings and Intermediate Band

(Grades 6-9)

Dates: June 24 - 28

Each day from 9am - 3pm

CONCERT on June 28th, 12:30 PM

Tuition: $300 + $25 processing fee

Black and Gold Orchestra

(Grades 9-12)

Dates: June 24 - June 27

Each day from 6:30pm - 9pm

​

CONCERT on July 1st, 7:00 PM at Peterswood Park

Tuition: $150 + $25 processing fee
