Helen became the President on the Board of Directors in the summer of 2023, having served on the Board for 18 months previously. She was born in England and moved to Pittsburgh in 2013 with her husband and two children.

 

Helen's career was in medicine as a paramedic, and she later transitioned to teaching the piano, taking many pupils though the ABRSM exam system with the Royal Schools of Music. Now, she's a "Triathlon Mom" for her first child, who is going to Duquesne in August as a Division 1 athlete and studying nursing. Helen is a "PYPO MOM" for her second child, who is a rising Junior at Seneca Valley Senior High and plays violin in the Philharmonic ensemble.

Helen has chosen to devote her time to the Orchestra, helping the professional Staff members to teach our children and share their passion of music, richly benefiting our local community.
