You are about to take your first step towards joining PYPO! Whether you are a new or returning member, we are so excited to have you join us.

2025-26 Season Registration

Registration and audition sign-ups for PYPO’s 2025-26 Season are now open! Our school year program runs from the end of September through April. Follow the steps below to join one of our school year ensembles.​

Step #1: Choose Your Ensemble

Learn more about our ensembles here. Not sure which ensemble is the right fit for you? Talk with your private teacher first to decide. If you do not have a private teacher or still need assistance, feel free to reach out to us at pypostaff@gmail.com.

Step #2: Follow the Instructions for Your Chosen Ensemble Below:

> Overture Ensembles

Overture Registration

No auditions are required for our Overture Strings and Overture Band ensembles. When you're ready to register, follow these steps:

  1. Fill out the registration form here.

  2. Pay the tuition deposit to secure your seat - you will be prompted to do this on the confirmation page of the registration form. Learn more about financial aid here. 

  3. Woohoo! Welcome to Overture!

> Intermezzo Ensembles

Intermezzo Registration

Auditions are required to join Intermezzo Band and Intermezzo Strings. Auditions are opportunities for you to play your instrument for us so to get to know you and best place you in one of our ensembles. Auditions for the 2025-26 Season will take place May 17th and 18th at our regular rehearsal venue, Carlynton Junior/Senior High School in Carnegie, PA.  Follow the steps below to book your audition:​​

  1. Fill out the audition registration form here.

  2. Schedule your audition and pay the audition fee of $25 (you will be prompted to do so after submitting your registration form).

  3. Prepare the audition requirements for your instrument listed below. 

  4. Audition results will be shared in June!​

> Philharmonic Orchestra

Philharmonic Registration

Auditions are required to join Philharmonic Orchestra. Auditions are opportunities for you to play your instrument for us so to get to know you and best place you in one of our ensembles. Auditions for the 2025-26 Season will take place May 17th and 18th at our regular rehearsal venue, Carlynton Junior/Senior High School in Carnegie, PA.  Follow the steps below to book your audition:​​
