You’re about to take your first step towards joining PYPO! Whether you're a new or returning member, we're excited to have you join us for the 2024-25 season. Follow the flow chart below to register and schedule an audition (if needed).

new member registration
We're excited to have you as a new member of PYPO! There are slightly different registration processes depending on which ensemble you're interested in joining.
The instructions are below; please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions to pypostaff@gmail.com
> Overture Strings and Band
No auditions are required for Overture Strings or Band.
Simply register with the link below, and you will be prompted to submit payment immediately after.
> Intermezzo (formerly Prelude) or Philharmonic Level
Intermezzo and Philharmonic students must audition to join. Auditions will take place on May 11th.
You will need to:
1. Register for the ensemble
2. Schedule an audition (you will be prompted to do this after registering)
3. Submit Registration Fee ($25 for all ensembles)
4. Perform the audition (see audition requirements below).

> If You Are Staying In Your Ensemble:
Returning Overture Band, Overture Strings, Intermezzo (formerly Prelude) Strings, and Philharmonic students are NOT required to audition.
If you are a returning Intermezzo (formerly Prelude) BAND student, you will need to audition after registering.
> If You Are Switching Ensembles, or Switching Instrument:
You will need to audition for the new ensemble. For example, if you were an Overture Strings student and would like to move to Intermezzo Strings, you will schedule an audition by following these steps.
1. Register for the new ensemble
2. Schedule an audition (you will be prompted to do this after registering)
3. Submit Registration Fee ($25 for all ensembles)
4. Perform the audition (see audition requirements below).
Audition Requirements
Select the tab of your chosen ensemble and the click "view" under your instrument. We recommend viewing these on a laptop if possible.
All auditions will take place on May 11th at Carlynton Jr/Sr High School. You will be prompted to schedule an audition after registering.
