The Black & Gold Pops is PYPO's newest ensemble and has over 80 members. Black and Gold is a combination of PYPO's Philharmonic students, other high school musicians, and adult musicians from the Greater Pittsburgh area.

Black and Gold is an opportunity for advanced young musicians to sit alongside seasoned professionals and bring to life music that everyone can enjoy. It is conducted by Maestro Roger Tabler.

In addition to the summer rehearsals and concert series, this year the Black and Gold Pops will hold a Holiday Concert on December 16th at 7:30pm at CVIS.
