Nanu, Nanu Earthlings! The final performance of the Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra's 2009-2010 season is not just about outer space -- it's also about music that we think is . . . "Out of This World!"

This multi-talented group, as featured on PCN Television in December 2009, and "In Community" Magazine, is performing beautifully orchestrated classic literature from Alexandre Guilmant's "Morceau Symphonique" featuring 2010 Concerto Competition Winner, Brad Snyder, along with "Jupiter - Bringer of Jollity" the fourth movement from Gustav Holst's seven movement suite "The Planets".

Special Guest "The Pop Rocks," a Pittsburgh rock band comprised of six amazing young musicians, are joining the orchestra for a ONE NIGHT ONLY collaborative performance of their tribute to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins "City of Champions" to the music of "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by the Scorpions. Arrangement by Pittsburgh music legend, Richard Mansfield.

Our bright young shining stars, The Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic String Ensemble and PYPO Junior Brass ensemble will also take the stage to perform.

Join us for an unforgettable journey, "Out of This World!"
