VIOLIN
"Sicilienne and Rigadon" - All of Sicilienne; Rigaudon till repeat (Kreisler / Foley / Fischer)
Excerpt of your choosing from a concerto or sonata (2-1/2 minutes)
C Major scale in addition to Major scales up to 3 sharps / 3 flats, memorized

VIOLA
"Sonata in E Minor" - Mvts. 1 & 2 up to first repeat (Marcello / Marchet / International)
Major scales up to 3 sharps / 3 flats, memorized

CELLO
"Tarantella, Op. 23" - First page until key change (Squire / Fischer)
Another solo of your choosing
Major scales up to 3 sharps / 3 flats, memorized

STRING BASS
"Gavotte in G Minor" (Bach / Zimmerman / Fischer)
Major scales up to 2 sharps / 2 flats, memorized

WOODWINDS
2010 - 2011 PMEA DISTRICT 1 SOLO, or equivalent
Major scales up to 3 sharps / 3 flats, memorized

BRASS (Music available on Music Page)
"Etude Number 6" from

Legato Etudes for Bb Trumpet
Legato Etudes for French Horn
Legato Etudes for Trombone
(Bass Trombone use Tuba book)

based on the Vocalises of Giuseppe Concone (John Shoemaker, published by Carl Fischer)

Chromatic 2 octave scale and

PERCUSSION
Snare - Etude from "Intermediate Snare Drum Studies" by Mitchell Peters, or equivalent

Mallets - Etude from "Fundamental Methods for Mallets" Book 1 by Mitchell Peters, or equivalent plus
Major scales up to 3 sharps / 3 flats and their relative minor scales

Timpani - Etude from "Fundamental Methods for Timpani" by Mitchell Peters or equivalent and
Match pitch with voice in addition to tuning timpani. Knowledge of solfege syllables are suggested, but not required.


PIANO & HARP
Two contrasting solos of your choosing
Major scales up to 4 sharps / 4 flats, memorized
