Audition Requirements
PYPO JUNIOR STRING ENSEMBLE
String Instruments Only
Solo from Suzuki Book II (or equivalent) and above
Major scales up to 3 sharps / 3 flats
More advanced literature is encouraged
PYPO JUNIOR WOODWIND ENSEMBLE
Woodwind Instruments Only
(Minimum requirement 1 year experience)
Flautists require access
to Piccolo
Clarinetists require access to a Bass Clarinet
Alto Saxophonists require access to a Tenor Sax
Solo piece demonstrating smooth playing (Legato) and short or
detached sections (Staccato)
Chromatic Scale, Major Scales up to
2 sharps/2 flats (two octaves if possible)
Short sight-reading piece
